No doubt you know that I am a stamp carving addict. I love it! I've been trying to figure out when or how I learned how to carve stamps. And you know what, I absolutely cannot remember. I recall carving a linoleum tile in high school, but when did I first pick up a soft block? I don't know?! Poking through my blog archives, I can't seem to find the moment, so it must have been ages ago. It's as if I always knew how to do it. Perhaps I was simply born with the knowledge. ;)
Today I'm sharing some of my favorite stamp carving shares from the blog (and if you go through the archives, there are a bajillion more stamp carving posts, btw):
2010: Print in Three Parts
2010: Chevron Stamp Tutorial
2011: Hand Carved Alphabets
2011: Banner Stamps
2013: New Number Stamps
2014: Hand Carved Heart Stamps
2015: Uh Oh. I'm Obsessed.
2015: Some New Garbage Stamps
2015: Interlocking Stamps
2015: More Garbage Stamps
Stamp Carving is easier than you may think. It's a process that offers so very many possibilities. Looking at these photos I can see how my skills have evolved and grown over time -- both my actual carving skills and my design skills. If you haven't tried stamp carving yet, I hope that you will!
This week I am giving away an awesome stamp carving super prize!
- a signed copy of my book, Carve Stamp Play. (P.S. If you have the book and love it, please leave me a review on Amazon. I'd really appreciate it!)
- a spot in my online class Stamp Carving 101
- a spot in my ***NEW*** online class Stamp Carving: Designing Patterns. (I will share sign-up information for everyone else next week, once a winner is announced!)
