Art Journal Every Day: A New Pamphlet Style Art Journal
February 24, 2017
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek. Even if you're not on social media, you can see everything (from twitter, pinterest, instagram, and facebook) that uses that hashtag here.
I know that lots of people want to be able to make their own art journals. However, I get emails and comments letting me know that they want it to be simple and small rather than a big bulky formally bound book. That's why I came up with a great new class that I'm super excited to be teaching at Papercraft Clubhouse in Connecticut on March 4, 2017!
It's called Make a Pamphlet Art Journal. Since I finished my sample art journal for class yesterday, I thought I'd share a bit about it with you today:
Yes, yes, yes!
In class I'll be sharing techniques for color mixing, stamping, stenciling, painting patterns, unifying pages, and so much more. Take a peek at what the journal looks like in this quick video flip through:
This is a totally customizable art journal with a super easy binding technique. In the first half of class we create some beautiful papers:
And then in the second half of class it's all about binding the journal...
...and creating art inside the book!
If you're interested in signing up for class, you can call the store at 860-399-4443.
I'll be at Papercraft Clubhouse all weekend long. Friday night, March 3, I'm teaching a class called Make Foam Stamps. This class is so much more than gluing bits of foam together. I put together a video showing one of the techniques I'll be sharing:
And then on Sunday, March 5, I'm teaching my famous Gelli + Deli class, but I think that class only has one more seat left, so sign up soon if you want it. :)
