Paper Marbling Class
February 15, 2017
I have wanted to do "real" paper marbling forever! I've got loads of books on the topic and I've watched videos and thought about it, but I knew that I needed the gentle shove of an in-person class. I did my research and finally found one! And you know what? It was flipping fantastic! I love, love, loved it so much!
Cristina Hajosy hosts small (we were three students) workshops in her home studio. She was very warm and welcoming and fed us some amazing homemade food!
(You can see our beautiful homemade lunch and some of the printing in progress in last week's vlog. Watch it HERE -- marbling class begins around the 5:13 mark.)
The printing process is both complicated and simple and therefore endlessly satisfying. Take a peek at the fun we had:
Cristina even taught us how to marble paper lanterns:
The prints we made were so divine:
Here are the ones I made:
I love them! My assistant, Suzanne, saw the prints and she suggested they'd make great phone cases. So, I took her advice and picked a few of my favorites and made some phone cases and other fun things from them.
You can purchase these items and many others in my Society 6 store. First time buyers can get $10 off your purchase of $40 or more with this coupon: coupon.
I'm excited to do more marbling! Thanks for stopping by!
