If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek. Even if you're not on social media, you can see everything (from twitter, pinterest, instagram, and facebook) that uses that hashtag here.
Today I've got some art journal pages from the end of December 2016 to share with you. It's so interesting for me to look back at them with the perspective of time. That time creates some distance and therefore the ability to coolly look and analyze these pages. I can see that I was in an intense pattern phase at the time. "More is more" is almost not enough to capture what's going on in these pages. There's an intense packing together of color and pattern that I find charming. These pages vibrate and hum with creative energy when I look at them. What do you think?
This is one of the spreads -- and I know we all have them -- where I created a bunch of color and pattern, intending it to be a background, but once I saw it...I couldn't cover it up!
You can read a post about creating your own screens here.
It's the turkey!
This next page is another "too pretty to cover up" page.
I hope you enjoyed this peek into my art journal. I always enjoy sharing it with you!
Thanks for stopping by!
