3 ScanNCut Videos: Emboss & Cut, Understanding File Types, Built-in Quilt Designs

I've got three awesome ScanNCut technique videos for you today!

First up: a technique you've been asking me about.  How do you emboss and then cut?  You can't cut on top of the squishy embossing mat, so how does that work?  It's surprisingly easy with the built-in scanner in the ScanNCut.  Watch the video for the how-to:

How cool is that embossed and cut design?!

I'm using metallic cardstock, which really shows off the embossing!

Have you ever been confused by which file types the ScanNCut can cut?  I made this handy dandy guide for you:

You can learn more in the video:

The built-in scanner really does mean that anything you want can be turned into cutting data.  But it's nice to know your options!

Finally, Brother is a sewing machine company.  So, it's no surprise that the ScanNCut contains lots and lots of built-in quilt block designs.

In this video, I show you how to use those built-in designs to draw on and cut your fabric:

It's amazing how easy the drawn stitch line makes it to put a quilt block together in no time at all!

Speaking of sewing, I'm going to be on HSN today (Monday, September 18) in the 9am and 1pm hours with Brother sewing and embroidery machines!  Be sure to tune in online or on your TV!

Hope you found all of these tutorials helpful.  Thanks for stopping by!
