Around Here: March 2018
March 26, 2018
Hello, friends! Here's a little bit about life right now:
What are you listening to?
I've been binging the podcast: Planet Money. They manage to explain everything in the world through the lens of money. It's fascinating, educational, and gets my brain spinning!
What are you wearing?
Ripped jeans. But not on purpose...had a little accident while I was on the road! Lucky for me, I packed more than one pair of pants! (Also living in the lace up boots you see in the photo -- they're from Target.)
What have you bought?
Two pieces from an artist I follow in instagram named Jenny Pope. I ran across her in real life at her booth at a craft fair!
She does the amazing prints you see above. They're reduction prints and I think they're fantastic! Lucky for me, she had some unframed prints and so I was able to afford two!
What are you reading?
Fascinating article from the New York Times about dementia patients and art museums. Art has so much to give. Read it!!
And, on a personal note, there's a very nice article about my Dad in the New Yorker. You can read it here.
Who are you stalking...er, admiring from afar?
Lynn Giunta makes really simple and yet complex collages. I love her text work in particular.
NOWHERE! That's right! After sleeping in my own bed for about 5 nights this month, I'm staying home for the month of April! Wahooooooo!
So, there you have it! That's the scoop on life around here at the moment. If you'd like more behind-the-scenes real life fun, you can always check out my vlog. I post a new vlog to my YouTube channel every Wednesday!
Thanks for stopping by!
