Art Journal Every Day: The End of a Journal

I've got the last few pages of this current art journal to share with you today!

This first page features collage on the left and a lot of hand cutting on the right:

The collage is made up of leftover bits from other projects.  I collect them in a little bin and then periodically I glue them all down to something.  They're nothing individually, but all together, they're wonderful!

I like how these lace pages always turn out a little bit differently than I expected!

This page had the flowers stamped on it before I started cutting.  So, I decided to keep them!

The page above is the last official page in this journal -- thus the "fin" in the heart.  :)

You can see the sheet of deli paper I used to make up most of this spread here.  When people ask me what I do with all the deli paper I make, the answer is: I use it!

Do you remember when I shared that art journal page featuring the word "Fish" cut out?  The cut outs were too pretty to get rid of, so I glued them into the back of the journal.

I didn't realize it at the time, but looking at these three pages together, I realize that there is a theme: nothing goes to waste.  It's all used in my art journal:

• scraps of paper get collaged
• cut outs are kept
• tags get glued or taped in
• printed deli paper gets used

Ever since I started "junque journaling" I have found that very little goes to waste in my studio.  I used to worry about all this "stuff" I was making and what I was going to do with it, but now it gets archived in my journal over time.  I love that!
