Hello, friends! Here's a little bit about life right now: What are you listening to? We got an Alexa Amazon Device Thing. I've been enjoying saying, "Alexa, play jazz music." I don't know anything about jazz and so I wouldn't know what to choose if I tried to download individual songs. I find it relaxing in the same way classical music is, but more energetic. I occasionally find myself grooving to it because the beat can be contagious. What are you wearing? I'm dressing for the weather I want and not the weather we have! There have been a few... "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." (Saint Augustine) Today I'm sharing some more photos from our trip to Spain. I believe that an enormous part of being an artist, for me, is being exposed to different cultures, different approaches, and different ways of living in the world. Sometimes you are lucky enough to go around the world to absorb all that different, and thanks to the internet, we can all catch a glimpse! I hope you enjoy these photos! Come and take a peek through my eyes: How are these photos... Read more →

As I mentioned before, I'm doing The 100 Day Project. The conceit behind the project is simple: one action every day for 100 days. My action is #100daysofArtTweets. I'm posting original art content to twitter every day for 100 days. Here are days 8-19: What you see above is a screenshot. To watch the video, click here. What you see above is a screenshot. To watch the video, click here. Observations: This project is easy because even on the 2-3 days when I almost forgot to do an art tweet, I was able to grab my phone and put one... Read more →

I wanted to share some beautiful stamped thank you cards that I recently made. If you want to learn more about masking and see how the cards were made, watch the video: In essentials, you cut a mask to match what you're trying to protect. I love the way that these cards turned out! It's amazing how two images created for different purposes and at different times can connect and look like they were meant to be together! Can you see the subtle difference between these two "Thank You" stamps? It's the same design carved differently. The one on the... Read more →
I know that Easter has come and gone, but I wanted to share the eggs I made this year! I've shared before that I looooove pysanky eggs. I think they're beyond gorgeous. What is pysanky? In the simplest of terms: you dye eggs multiple times adding wax at each layer to preserve the various colors. If you can't quite visualize it, there's a clear photo step-out post on a Ukranian website here. Inspired by pysanky but looking for an easier process, I made these pysanky inspired Easter Egg Place Cards... ...for my Passover seder: I started with a carton of... Read more →
