Art Journal Every Day: DIY Watercolor Palette for my Traveler's Notebook
April 06, 2018
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek. Even if you're not on social media, you can see everything (from twitter, pinterest, instagram, and facebook) that uses that hashtag here.
Beyond keeping me task oriented, it's important to me that my Traveler's Notebook be a place to make art. I do quite a bit of sketching in my current Bullet Journal. Usually it's pretty simple -- just using a pen and a bit of time, as you can see here:
To make my Traveler's Notebook an art powerhouse, I decided to add a sketchbook and watercolor palette to it. Yay! Hopefully this will take my simple sketches a step forward!
Check out this video to see how the watercolor palette came together and fits into my Traveler's Notebook:
Here's the palette from the video:
- Watercolor Paper
- Scissors
- Clear Ruler
- Mechanical Pencil
- Peerless Watercolors
- ATG
- Waterproof Pen
- Paintbrush
Next week I'll share a chatty video of my completed Traveler's Notebook! Double hooray!
Thanks for stopping by!
