Mother's Day Card

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day.  I took my Mother out to one of her favorite restaurants in the Boston area: Oleana.  I also gave her this card I made:

It's very simple, but very effective. I cut cardstock into flowers and leaves and then used foam adhesive to create dimension.

I enjoy making handmade cards.  It takes a lot longer than going to the store and picking one out, but I think the effort is part of the gift.  As I create a handmade card, I'm thinking of the recipient and trying to make choices (colors, style, etc.) that I think he/she would enjoy.

How about you?  Do you make cards for the people in your life?

Thanks for stopping by!
