Like many art museums, The Boston MFA (Museum of Fine Arts) hosts an annual botanical event called, "Art in Bloom." Throughout the museum, florists, floral artists, and garden clubs create floral arrangements inspired by a particular work of art in the museum. The two are displayed together and it's an experience that is both visually interesting and intellectually stimulating -- much discussion ensues about whether or not a particular arrangement "works" for the viewer.
