Art Journal Every Day: April into May
October 05, 2018
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek. Even if you're not on social media, you can see everything (from twitter, pinterest, instagram, and facebook) that uses that hashtag here.
Today I'm sharing four of my art journal pages from April & May 2018. The first page I'm showing you is probably one of the most simple art journal pages I've ever done. It's just color fields and text.
I love the simplicity. It almost acts as a palette cleanser -- for a more is more girl.
I think I kept some of the simplicity when I flipped the page.
Rather austere for me, don't you think?
Lots of stamping, as always:
The leaf stamp (above) is available as part of my "Summer" set of stamps.
I was very into Neocolor IIs during this period and you can see them being used on the next two pages:
You know that I loooove wonky shaped pages in my art journal!
I love how the Neocolor IIs pop on a black background.
The green triangle was also done with Neocolor II:
Hope you enjoyed this peek into my art journal! Thanks for stopping by!
