The 100 Day Project is Coming...
March 28, 2019
I need a good talking to. I'm thinking of doing The 100 Day Project again. It starts on April 2 (next week).
If you don't know, the premise of The 100 Day Project is simple: Do some act every day for 100 days and post it online.
I chose the quote above for this blog post because I think it's at the heart of #the100dayproject. Small steps every day to become better at some act you choose. And that is soooo me! I love practicing and getting better and working on my skills. But, it's also such a drag and an unnecessary source of stress.
It is true that I curse The 100 Day Project every single year as a terrible mistake around day 50. 🤜😵 And then I slog my way through to the end. And yet, here we are a year later and I'm kind of wanting to do it again. What's up with that?!
I have sometimes wondered if I could do it and not be a completer. Could I just accept that I'll do some of my task during that 100 days, but not every day? Does that defeat the purpose?
I also travel a lot, so whatever I pick has to be doable on the road -- which is limiting in many ways.
In 2017, I did 100 Days of 15 Minute Faces. In 2018 I did 100 Days of Art Tweets. Both times I learned things. Both times I was fed up half-way through. But both times I learned things. But both times I got sick of it. But, but, but....!
I don't know, you guys. I have so many questions. Thoughts? Suggestions? Help!
