If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek. Even if you're not on social media, you can see everything (from twitter, pinterest, instagram, and facebook) that uses that hashtag here.
Here are some more pages from January 2019.
The big eagle-like bird on this page was inspired by a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) here in Boston. They have a big Egyptian collection and I loved all of the birds found on those artifacts.
This next spread was not meant to be a stand-alone spread.
I stenciled all over the page (the stencil is called Texture Love) intending to make it an interesting background.
As you may have noticed, every few pages I like to paint the background black.
But my favorite part of this spread has to be the wallpaper! We found it behind another layer of wallpaper during the renovation of our home. I ripped it off the wall and pasted it into my art journal.
I hope you'll find some time to do some art journaling this weekend. I always find that I'm in a better mood after just ten minutes of playing in my art journal!
Thanks for stopping by!
