Art Journal Page with Two Hamsa Hands
May 18, 2020
I've rediscovered colored pencils.
It might be because of all the Zoom calls and webinars. I've discovered that colored pencils are a nice quiet way to make art while listening to the conversation. I don't know about you, but I listen a lot better when my hands are doing something. Doodling and coloring somehow frees up space in my brain. Odd, isn't it?
As you know if you've followed this blog for a while, I like to work on my art journal pages in stages over time. This page was one I started during a Member Livestream. Here's a screenshot of where I left it during the Member Livestream:
And I completely transformed it this weekend, using a combination of the method I shared during the April Member Livestream when I created a vine in my art journal, along with some colored pencil play:
It's such a dramatic change! I love it and I can't wait to journal all over that page with a white pen. It's going to be awesome!
The May Livestream for Balzer Designs members is tomorrow (May 19) at 7pm EST. We are doing it through Zoom (yay) so you can choose to show your face if you'd like to and not if you don't want to. I'm excited about this new format. I think it will allow our get-togethers to feel even more like a community hang out. The link and all the details are in the Member area of the classroom. As always, members have access to all live member events and the replays of all past events.
AND, the biggest news of all: you've asked and asked and it's finally here: CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS for all online classes. No PayPal account required. So whether you want to become a member or simply take an online class, you can now check out with your credit card and skip PayPal altogether. Can I get a woo hoo? :)
I hope to see you at the livestream. Thanks for stopping by!
