If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, the concept is simple: It's a commitment to take ten minutes each day to do something in your art journal. No need to finish anything or even like it. It's about making the time to nourish your creativity every day! If you have the time to flip through your phone, you have the time to Art Journal Every Day. If you'd like to share what you make, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek. You can find new Art Journal Every Day posts here on the blog most Fridays. The archives go back to the first Art Journal Every Day post in 2010.
Here are some daily pages from last year. The baby was born at the end of November and my art journaling really took a hiatus for most of late 2019 and early 2020. So these are some of the last real "daily" pages. Take a peek:
This was my first time using this big bird motif, but I have used it several times since creating this one. I really like it. Note how the drop shadow really helps make the text stand out from the busy background.
I made these mandalas for a segment on Make It Artsy many years ago. (You can find written instructions on making these mandalas HERE.) I came across them while cleaning up and decided to glue them into my art journal.
They're made with shiny Glaze pens, and you can really see that shine in these photos.
Unusually for me, I did two black pages in a row in this journal:
What is the magic of deli paper? It's here in these butterfly wings! It collages so beautifully and seamlessly. I love it!
Thanks for stopping by!
