If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, the concept is simple: It's a commitment to take ten minutes each day to do something in your art journal. No need to finish anything or even like it. It's about making the time to nourish your creativity every day! If you have the time to flip through your phone, you have the time to Art Journal Every Day. If you'd like to share what you make, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek. You can find new Art Journal Every Day posts here on the blog most Fridays. The archives go back to the first Art Journal Every Day post in 2010.
You may have noticed that my art journaling style has evolved a bit over the last year or so. I've noticed it. I'm moving towards less daily journaling and more pages filled with "just" art. These pages from March 2019 definitely reflect that shift.
This next page features one of my rotating repeat stamps that I've carved...
This is actually a sample from my book, Carve Stamp Play, which I incorporated into my journal.
This page also features one of my favorite mixed media art supplies: oil pastels.
I call oil pastels a favorite mixed media art supply because they are perfect for mixing with acrylics. Yes, acrylic + oil. They don't get damaged by the wet paint and you can add paint over or under oil pastels. I love them!
Thanks for stopping by!
