When food and crafting collide...I'm in my happy place! The upcoming Fourth of July holiday is the perfect excuse to make everything look like an American Flag. Check out my 10 favorite "flags as food!"
I may be wrong, but this feels like a fancy pie crust that I could actually do. How gorgeous is this flag pie?! I want to look at it, but I also want to dive right in!
I love this taco salad flag! Though, I have to admit that I personally would have put the sour cream on top instead of the grated cheese. Or used white cheese. But, it still looks great!
I confess that I'm not always a huge fan of white chocolate (it's not chocolate IMHO) but I love the look (and the ease) of this fruit & pretzel flag platter. If you bought the strawberries already halved, you'd really have a quick and easy platter!
I love that this is a cheese plate. But I also really love the artistic choice to put it all at an angle. It looks fantastic and I'll bet it tastes great too! (You can use teeny tiny fondant cutters to cut out those little stars FYI!)
Instead of a platter, here's a clever idea that transforms each pretzel into a little American Flag. (I'm still not a white chocolate fan, but I might go for a yogurt dipped pretzel!)
This is called a "fruit pizza." It looks like a pie to me. The base is a giant cookie, so it's probably semantics. The point is, I would eat that. (And it's pretty!)
This one is pure cake -- no fruit involved. And the flag is hidden inside the cake! What a fun reveal!
According to the instructions, this is peanut butter and chocolate mixed together and you dip pretzels in it. Yes. Yes. Yes.
I like this flag cookie platter because you could buy the cookies, you could make the cookies. It's flexible. Either way, you get to eat the cookies!
And, finally, in case you're not serving a crowd, here is a single serving idea:
Adding fruit purposefully to waffles instead of randomly? I can do that!
So there you have it! Ten tempting ideas for playing with your food and turning it into an American Flag.
Thanks for stopping by!
