My Handmade Tree
December 20, 2021
Here's a quick peek at my "handmade" tree -- i.e. all the ornaments were either gifts or handmade (and sometimes both).
These are the stars I made from my son's artwork:
And these stars I made last year. I wrote about them HERE.
This Deadpool ornament is a prototype I made for a video I did for the Marvel YouTube channel several years ago. You don't see my face, but those are my hands in the video!
One year I made a whole bunch of paper diamonds for an online workshop I was teaching.
And that's the same with these stuffed paper ornaments from a workshop I taught a decade ago:
These folded paper ornaments were a gift from a friend who made them:
I made a bunch of fabric covered styrofoam balls one year:
There are several felt roses stuck into empty spots on the tree. I originally created them as part of a Valentine's Day place setting. Find the post about them HERE.
During last year's December Member Livestream, I demonstrated how to make these honeycomb ball ornaments:
During this year's December Member Livestream, I shared how to make these cute 3-D house ornaments:
I made a bunch of marbled papier mache ornaments a few years ago.
And, of course, there are hand painted ornaments on my tree.
This one was painted with puff paint:
My friend Jenn made this one (and carved the stamp too):
This was the most difficult ornament I've ever made and I'll never do it again. I can't even remember how it goes together, but I remember wanting to give up multiple times!
I woodburned some bamboo cutlery one year. You can read about it HERE.
And finally, I've got all these cute fabric ornaments on my tree too:
