Miscellaneous Projects
January 24, 2022
Believe it or not, it turns out that I make more things than I can share here on the blog! It's crazy, but true. I make A LOT of stuff. And I've got the messy desk to prove it!
So here are a few things I've made recently and haven't had time to share with you!
I made this mug for my Mom!
I used some food-safe markers I had sitting around from a project I did back in 2015. They're food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe. I don't think they're made anymore, but the Pebeo ones have been around for years and do the same thing.
Every month Maker and Super Learner Members get an SVG cut file that I design as part of their membership benefits. This month (and many months) I designed a stencil! And so I took it for a spin on my gelatin plate!
I originally designed it with piano keys in mind, but in practice it went somewhere else entirely. I love how all of these layered papers turned out!
I used the prints to make a book...
...and I had a bunch of strips of printed paper left over, so I used them to make these two cards:
To make the cards, I used the technique I shared in this 2020 video.
And finally, I made my son toddler-sized hot mitts:
There's another one floating around the house that I made from some fabric I discharged with a star pattern. It was hanging in his play kitchen, but now I think it's either under the couch or lost in a closet. If I can find it, I'll snap a photo. I'm hoping that he won't touch anything hot with them, but just in case, I did line them with Insul-Bright.
Whew. So that's the round-up of random stuff. Don't get me started on the failed and abandoned projects that are sitting around this place...but that's a story for another day.
Thanks for stopping by!
