Artist Vlog 69: Iteration (Working in a Series)

In this week's artist vlog, I'm sharing a bit about iteration. It's the theme for this cycle at My Art Practice.

Iteration is defined as: "A procedure in which repetition of a sequence of operations yields results successively closer to a desired result." It is often called "working in a series." I think of it as working thoughtfully. You make one thing and think about what you like and don't like about it. Then you make another thing, taking that knowledge with you into the new work.

My Art Practice is an online community dedicated to helping you create, shape, sharpen, and maintain a sustainable art practice that feeds your need to be creative and productive.

The My Art Practice Monthly Membership offers fresh new content twice a week, every week.  That’s right – every Monday and Thursday new content is released to the online classroom.

And speaking of online classrooms, the My Art Practice classroom is amazing. There’s an app.  There are message boards.  You can post pictures and links.  And it's all available to you 24/7.  It’s a lot like social media, but without any of the nastiness, and it’s all about art.  It’s an art community.  In fact, you might have noticed that our Instagram account is called “My Art Practice Community.”  Community is key.

My Art Practice has been carefully designed to offer content to both beginner and advanced artists. It’s for both hobbyists and professionals.  As long as you’re interested in starting, developing, or maintaining an art practice, then My Art Practice is for you.

I will say that it’s not for people who solely want to learn art techniques. While My Art Practice does have some of that content, because techniques are a key part of any art practice, the focus is really on creating a unique art practice that fits your goals, your schedule, and your needs as an artist.

Enrollment opens for just one week, five times each year.  My Art Practice won’t open up for enrollment again until October.  So, don’t miss out.

Let the My Art Practice Monthly Membership help you reach your art goals.

"I believe a strong art practice fuels innovation and resilience, and thrives in a supportive community." - Julie Fei-Fan Balzer
